I don't know why you'd have a ceiling fan on a dimmer switch, but if you have some type of special switch for it you may see some problems. I initially assumed my ceiling fan light wasn't working because there was something wrong with the entire light kit. I know that all connections that I made are solid connections. Confirm the light bulbs are firmly threaded into the socket.
