I have the same issue. Then I came across yours and walla it worked. I also needed to update my McAfee anti-virus but you may not have to do that depending on what program you use. I am running Windows XP SP1, fully updated.
I also ran the "clipbrd" executable and when I try to copy or cut items, nothing appears inside the clipbook viewer.
