The X11 clipboard and windows clipboard are integrated. xterm (X terminal window) We started out by using the cygwin terminal: It is perfectly functional. Cygwin for Linux on PCs.

I have not yet found a free alternate with all the features it offers. Cygwin Xclip You need to install it separately, since it isn't installed by default of cygwin. Make sure to select the "Modify shortcut that started this window" radial button and click OK.

You don't have to do anything special to copy/paste between them. There are still improvements that could be made, like selecting the text and pressing Del or Backspace to delete it, but hey, if puTTY hasn't got that feature, i really don't I find that when doing a lot of remote support, across multiple sites, these extra features are critical. alex Reply Dawn 2:55 PM August 7, 2012 I recently changed to Windows 7, and installed Cygwin.
