BLEEPINGCOMPUTER NEEDS YOUR HELP! I can use an external mouse for now but I don't want my laptop mouse to just die like this. Send it back I guess. i need to know which update corrupted my synap mouse pad and buttons so i can unistall it and remove it from the new and old versions of my registry stored

  • This may be a problem specific to this laptop, but I suggest you give it a shot.
  • Unfortunately the touchpad is integrated into the palmrest, but you could attempt to remove the "button" area and clean the contacts and buttons with a 90%+ alcohol.
  • The only other software I installed was QuickSet.

I don't know enough to go thru and write down all the programs I want to keep before handing it over to them. the screen may go blue or the pointer may click on some URLs but not onothers? Oddly enough the touchpad works fine when prompted during the diagnostics but is frozen again when the diagnostics programme finishes. I also have found that removing the battery and reinstalling it seems to be the easiest fix. But, then it at least began working again. There are NO Windows 7 drivers for this unit as you may be aware (or not), however they do have Vista drivers for the touchpad. I have tried adjusting the presure or sensitivity.
