I did determine that it was a Super 7, which were what introduced lots of folks to AMD chips. The same problem is still present and now I have Win 95 instead of 98! Also, I forgot to ask yesterday...do chipset drivers come on OS cd's or does one always have to install them separately (the way I did yesterday)? The cd rom in this machine has always been the d: drive, so I am basically getting more and more confused with each thing I try.
