After installing windows 10 all the USB ports of my computer stopped working except one. When you plug and unplug it do you hear the Windows sound indicating that the respective action has taken place? Are you able to do a Windows Restore back to a time just before the ports stopped working? We decided on no Win 10 updates as yet, as it's just another learning curve for them.
